The History of Oxigén Family Hotel****
Noszvaj is one of the cleanest settlements in the country, therefore it is a great tourist destination. The proximity of Eger, the many natural treasures and historical sights make it a great destination for trips. Being located in the countryside, the Oxigén Family Hotel**** makes it perfect with Zen Spa experiences. Noszvaj was originally founded by Italian settlers. This is where its name comes from, as “noszvaj” means "our village" in Latin. Settlements in the area (e.g. Olaszliszka) have a similar Italian past.
The history of our wellness hotel started with the appearance of French influence, the settlement of the De la Motte family. The most important monument in the center of Noszvaj is the Castle De la Motte, built in late Baroque style. In the 19th century, in the place of the Oxigén Family Hotel there was a similar property belonging to the castle. In the late 1800s, the owner planted 220 pine trees on the site of the current park, which turned it into lush greenery, providing a wild atmosphere, pleasant air and shelter from the Sun.The very first stop in the history of our hotel can be dated between 1901-1904, when the predecessor of the current hotel was built, which was named Berta's House after the wife of the owner of Castle De la Motte. At the beginning of the 20th century, significant changes were made in the life of the hotel: a well-groomed English park was established around the building, rare flowers and shrubs were planted. Using modern agricultural tools of the time, a model farm was created.
Wedded into the family De la Motte, Count Galassy traveled all over the world, bringing bathing, meditation and the special Japanese wellness - Zen Spa - experience from his East Asian tours. He created a lake in the hotel’s park with small bridges and a bathhouse, which presumably stood in the place of the hotel's current Zen Spa. At that time, viticulture and wineries played a prominent role in the village. Next to the hotel, the former manor cellar, today's Thummerer Cellar can be found.

The second half of the last century was important in the history of our hotel, it operated as a holiday resort. After the transformations, from June 2012, our four-star baby- and child-friendly wellness hotel awaits families, who want to relax with many unforgettable experiences, outdoor and indoor programs. Legends about the famous hive stones are interesting, they can be found in Noszvaj and Szomolya.They are believed to reflect the energy of the Earth, that’s why the surrounding area can be associated with an energizing effect. A family legend about Mrs Berta: Find traces in the castle park!
According to a secret legend, Ms. Berta, the wife of the owner of the Castle De la Motte, walked around the building in the evenings, talked to the trees and bushes, and took her favorite flowers. The plants were almost full of life from this care, and nature was renewed.

Our hotel is the first four-star all-Inclusive hotel (for children) in Hungary, which was designed specifically for families with small children. It was important to us that children could use the exterior, interiors and services of the building comfortably and safely. The goal for our guests is to spend as much time in nature as possible. After polluted air in the city, the crystal clear air cures the whole body, not only "treats" respiratory diseases but also helps to prevent them.
The most fantastic thing in our baby and child-friendly hotel is that we take care of everything, so you can get on the road with your family and you don't have to worry about forgetting anything at home.

The Oxigén Family Hotel **** has special attention to its wellness empire so that children, parents, and even babies could enjoy the wellness experience.
There are many options which younger and older children can enjoy. In the heart of our wellness area you can find one pool for the smallest babies and one pool for the children, where many toys are waiting for them. The children can try out the following outdoor activities: parking field, the squirrel adventure park, or the mini adventure track for younger adventurers. Trampoline, bowling, basketball, volleyball court, ping-pong, soccer field and a lot of activities await families in our huge green park. The Dínó playhouse always has a cheerful jingle when it's too hot or raining outside, or when the children are looking for a little foosball, darts, x-boxing.
The hotel also paid great attention to the location of families with small children. Larger rooms and suites have been specifically designed for families, and most of the smaller rooms can be joined together. The restaurant has two separate rooms with a highchair, feeding set for children,bottle warmer and a playhouse. As part of our child's all-inclusive service, we provide children under the age of 10 five times a day with unlimited drinks. Our hotel offers children an all -inclusive service, which is available from 2 p.m. on the day of arrival to 10.00 a.m. on the day of the departure.

The hotel's technical equipment is well suited for business negotiations, conferences, team building training, weddings, exclusive meetings and gala dinners.Our conference room can be divided into three smaller parts with mobile walls, and the foreground in front of the room is ideal for coffee breaks, which we provide for the perfect event.
Tourist Attractions
Castle De la motte
The castle is in the center of Noszvaj. The castle has recently reopened its doors to visitors. The castle, with its beautiful,intimate and contemporary furniture gives an insight into the life of a noble family. It is also a common venue for weddings.
Caves and cellars
The XIX. century impoverishment forced the apartments to be carved into the caves and cellars. These are now uninhabitable, but they are an interesting attraction, as the former cave apartments were taken over by artists today.
Farmhouse
The farmhouse, built in the 20th century, is often a venue for village events: folk music programs and gastronomic shows are organized in a farmhouse furnished with contemporary furniture.
Smithery
The Smithery Workshop is called "Antik-Anti" in the village.
Local homemade products
Noszvaj is famous for its local, homemade products such as cheese, honey, ham, meat, jam, bread and cherries. Careful housewives make the recipes left for them from the elders. They are worth a try.
Stone culture, hive stones
Only 5 kilometers from the hotel, multi-thousand-year hive stones were found in a rock cavity, which are associated with the legend that they channel the energy from the Earth.
Lakes of Síkfőkút
In the vicinity of Noszvaj, at the entrance of the mountains you can find Síkfőkút. The two small fishing lakes here are very ideal for a little trip. The mountain trails starting here can be achieved with forest stops and viewpoints with 30-70 minutes of pleasant walks.
Zsóry Thermal Bath and Spa
Close to Noszvaj, the famous Zsóry Thermal Bath and Spa, which was renovated in 2011, is in the neighborhood of Mezőkövesd. Many people visit it because of its pleasant, warm healing water.
Thermal Spa Bogács
A village next to Noszvaj, Bogács, is also famous for its healing water thermal waters.
Wineries and cellars
Noszvaj lies in the Eger Wine region. The wineries in the village offer handmade wines, and on weekends you can often hear music from them.
Cycling trail
The village and its surroundings offer many cycling trails.
“Matyó” folk traditions
Mezőkövesd is the center of “Matyó” people, 10 km from Noszvaj. Famous for embroidered folk costumes and the cultivation of its folk traditions offers many folk programs.

Eger (castle, museums, wines, baroque downtown)
Eger is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country. Among its sights, Eger Castle, Minaret, Baroque main square with the sculpture of István Dobó,the stream, the Spa, the Turkish bath, the stoned pedestrian streets and museums can take a few hours of your vacation.
Fairy tale path
The fairy tale path was born in the spirit of spending a meaningful, cheerful time. The basic idea is that, during your holiday and relaxation, it introduces people to the traditional treasures and spiritualities of the given region (in Noszvaj “Palóc”) through the world of fairy tales. Children and adults enjoying the fairy tale can be involved in many positive pedagogical and psychological courses of listening, working together, self-knowledge and imagination. It provides an opportunity not only to have fun, but also to get to know each other more carefully and to deepen relationships.
